In August 2018, Dr. Katherine Machado, a board-certified podiatrist, opened the Machado Foot & Ankle Center serving Miami, FL, where our mission is to provide specialized foot and ankle care while promoting the health and well-being of our patients.

Dr. Machado completed an extensive education through the University of Miami and later Barry University. She first achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She then pursued her Masters in Biomedical Science and finally earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), collecting several awards and distinctions. Dr. Machado also completed a multiyear residency and worked as a podiatrist for several years before opening her practice. Today, she is a board-certified podiatrist of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and an active member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Florida Podiatric Medical Association.

At the Machado Foot & Ankle Center, serving Miami, FL, we treat numerous foot and ankle-related complaints, specializing in:

• Foot and wound care
• Diabetic limb salvage, including diabetic ulcers
• Foot surgery after foot trauma or foot and ankle fractures
  

In addition to this, we also treat other general podiatric complaints, such as Plantar fasciitis and warts, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, onychomycosis, flat feet, and ankle sprains.

We focus on preventing podiatric complications in the lower extremities. Additionally, we work to relieve your pain and improve your mobility. Our podiatrist, Dr. Machado, provides each patient with exceptional, compassionate care using innovative treatment plans suited to your unique needs.  Our treatment methods may include one or more of the following:
